Kara V. Bordman

Kara Bordman is a Partner at TRS where she has practiced for more than 15 years. Her practice is focused on civil litigation, with particular emphasis on insurance defense, premises liability, and complex litigation. Kara is licensed in all three U.S. District Court, of North Carolina (Eastern, Middle, and Western) and also leads the firm’s appellate practice, having successfully litigated cases before both the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Known for her meticulous preparation and strategic approach, Kara represents insurers, businesses, and property owners in litigation across North Carolina. Her experience handling complex legal issues at both the trial and appellate levels makes her a trusted resource for clients seeking knowledgeable, efficient, and results-driven representation.

She graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame and earned her Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School.

Outside of her professional life, Kara is a passionate college football fan and enjoys reading and spending time outdoors. She spends her free time with her husband and their triplet girls.
