Catherine E. Elbakidze

Catherine E. Elbakidze (Katie) graduated from Elon University School of Law and joined the firm having several years of experience in handling personal injury cases across North Carolina, where she developed strong litigation skills and became well versed in navigating courthouses across the state. This background provides her with a well-rounded perspective that translates effectively into her work as a defense attorney.

Originally coming to North Carolina to attend Salem College, Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Biology and Communication. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law, where she distinguished herself through extensive pro bono involvement and hands-on legal experience. During law school, Katie was recognized for her significant pro bono contributions, worked as an intern for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Hospital, and completed her residency at the Guilford County District Attorney’s Office under her practice license.

Katie was also actively involved in student leadership at Elon Law, serving as Treasurer and Vice President of Case Managers for the Innocence Project. Her diverse academic background, commitment to public service, and exposure to both plaintiff-side and prosecutorial practice provide her with a comprehensive understanding of the legal system and enhance her ability to advocate effectively for clients.

Outside of the office, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, their son, and their two dogs—a Great Pyrenees–Poodle mix and a Shiba Inu.
